First Checkup

Don’t you think this is the cutest little pic?! Looks just like his mommy 🙂

I went for my first check up last week Friday. Doc is really happy with the little sack. She said her rabbit’s-foot-4-leaf-clover-double-rainbow sign was there, assuring her that this will be a super great pregnancy.Even at 6 weeks, 6 days (very educated guesswork) we were able to see a heartbeat… So my Mom reckons this has to be a boy. Supachick is also pushing for blue. Ha, we’ll see what happens in a few months 😉

But whatever the gender, peanut already knows not to bug mommy in the morning (#not a morning person!), so from 11:30am onwards right through the day until I go to bed, I’m in a near constant state of nausea. And only Ginger seems to help. My fridge is stocked with stoney Ginger beer (that’s what it’s called, but it’s not really beer). I got some Ginger sweeto to keep in my hangbag so if in a pinch, just add water. I need to find a Ginger cady supplier too.  (Ginger is so awesome, it deserves the cap).

She (my lovely doc) is also looking ater me like a blue ribbon cow. Wants to see me every second week. But if the medical aid claim email is anything to go by, I won’t be able to afford all this mother hawk nurturing. Will talk to her account department at our next appointment – maybe work something out with the clinic.
